Normally, there would be a meeting on Monday April 5th, but this year is clashes with Easter. So there will be no meeting of Moonee Ponds Toastmasters on Monday April 5th.

The next meeting will therefore be on Monday April 19th, at the usual location and time.

March 2010 is another of those rare months that has five Monday’s in it. Therefore there will be a meeting of Moonee Ponds Toastmasters this Monday March 29th at the usual location!

Last Meetings for 2009

Monnee Ponds Toastmaters last two meetings of the year will be on November 30th (one of our fifth Monday of the month meetings) and Monday December 7th, which will be our breakup meeting. Complete with presents and no doubt some Christmas-related games

We will reconvene late January of 2010. Watch this space!

Contests On Again!

Just a quite note, Moonee Ponds will be holding it’s speech contests in September. The dates are:

Monday September 7th: International and Evaluation contest.
Monday September 21st: Humorous and Table Topics.

Get your speeches ready now and we’ll see you there as contestants or at least supportive observers

March is one of those strange months that has five Monday’s in it. This means there will be a Moonee Ponds Toastmasters Meeting on Monday 30th March. Usual place, usual time.

And just to show what a quick turn around we can do, there’ll be another meeting the week after – our regular first Monday of the month meeting on April 6th.

Up coming events at Moonee Ponds Toastmasters.

First, our next meeting on Monday September 15th will be our Humorous Speech and Table Topics contest. Also note that due to venue constraints, we’ll be starting early, at 7PM.

Also, if you’re a member, it’s not too late to be a contestant in either contest. The table topics contest takes exactly zero preparation

And our meeting on Monday September 29th will be a joint meeting with Essendon Toastmasters club. More details to follow.

International and Evaluation Contests Rapidly Approach!

Moonee Ponds toastmasters is holding its International speech and Evaluation contests at our next meeting, on Monday, 18th of August. There’s still time for members to put their hands up to be contestants, if you’re keen.

We’ll also be delighted to welcome judges from at least five of our fellow clubs.

Should be a great night. Come along to see some excellent speakers at work.
